Splash: a building-to-building tensegrity footbridge

“Splash” is a building-to-building tensegrity footbridge designed by Joel Cullum for an online architecture challenge.

The tensegrity system is used to provide a sentiment of movement with fragments integrated among the elements of the system. It seems just as if something went through the two buildings and time just stopped.

It is not clear if the tensegrity system is part of the structural system of the footbridge. However, I think that this project is definitely a hit exploring the chaotic aspect that tensegrity systems can give.
