"Helios Rehab Sanctuary" by Team CLS

Team CLS including architects Darren Chan, Emily Lau, Jonas Sin and others presented the "Helios Rehab Sanctuary", a tower specially designed for a rehabilitation center.

The tower is composed of a series of tensegrity modules piled one on top of the other. The outer structure of each floor is based on the same class I tensegrity module as its inner structure may differ according to its use.

Various secondary elements such as special panels and pods are integrated in each floor hiding the tensegrity system but allowing the tower to become a green building.

A nice project that explores the modularity of tensegrity structures and their possibilities in sustainable design.
