"Instant Skyscraper" by Farzin Lotfi-Jam and Jerome Frumar

Instant skyscraper was a project presented at the 2009 Skyscraper Competition by Farzin Lotfi-Jam and Jerome Frumar from Australia. The project is quite complete including aspects such as inspiration, physical models and structural response under various load cases. Here are some words written for the project:

The tensegrity principle is explored for its potential to provide a feasible structural system that enables the deployment of an instant skyscraper in areas struck by disaster. [...] The tensegrity structural system that has been developed for this proposal is highly adaptive yet incredibly stable.

Personally, i find this is an excellent tensegrity project. The project highlights not only architectural aspects but also exploits the structural properties of tensegrity structures for adaptive architecture.
